The Skagit Valley Camera Club (SVCC) is a friendly local group of dedicated and creative photographers who live in Northwestern Washington State. We encourage all levels of photographers to join. Our meetings offer a time for photographers to show their images as well as interact and share ideas, knowledge and photographic techniques. Our club sponsors some great local photography workshops for every level of photographer, many of which are taught by members of the club. The club distributes a monthly Newsletter electronically informing members of upcoming events, programs, etc.

Skagit Valley Camera Club Meetings
Monthly Meetings on 2nd Thursdays at 7:00 pm
Meetings Held at Anacortes Senior Activity Center,
1701 22nd Street, Anacortes, WA
Individuals can bring food and non-alcoholic drinks to the meeting.
The meeting starts at 7:00 and ends at 8:30 pm.
Room set up by members 6:30-7 . Clean-up by members 8:30-9pm.

Explore one of Washington’s most charming small towns with fellow photo enthusiasts! Take a stroll in the morning light along the Gig Harbor Waterfront. Sights include pleasure craft and working fleet. Your walk will be led by local resident and photographer Ron Norris, who has walked the waterfront for more than two decades.
Tacoma Chinese Reconciliation Park

Hello Photowalkers! Let’s meet up and explore all the different things we can shoot at the Chinese Reconciliation Park. There is water, people watching, interesting art and architecture, and plenty of opportunity for sunset landscape photos. Park near the RAM, as that is where we will end our walk at approx. 6:30pm, meeting up to look at photos and catch up over food.
It’s big enough there can be some exploring, but small enough that you’ll have time to get creative. If you there’s a new technique or filter you’ve been dying to try, bring it along! It’s waterfront, so dress in layers and plan for a bit of a chill. Restaurant after is optional.

DuPont, Washington, was founded in 1906 by the E.I. DuPont deNemours Co. Dynamite was manufactured here until the 1970s. What is now known as the Historic Village is a walkable community of early 20th century buildings, a colorful history museum, woodland trails, and resident wildlife. We’ll end our photowalk with libations at DuPont’s local Irish pub McNamara’s.
