Gallery Submission Deadline Dates

SVCC website member gallery change out volunteers have 10 business days following the submission deadline date to complete the change out.
Change Out Dates for any calendar year
  1. February 28th (29th if a leap year)
  2. April 30th
  3. June 30th
  4. August 30th
  5. October 31st
  6. December 31st
Website image change out policies
  1. Please send ONLY images to: [email protected]
  2. Images will be changed out every other month.
  3. The image submission deadline will be the last calendar day of the change out month.
  4. Up to 3 images may be submitted at ANY time.
  5. Images received AFTER a deadline date will be published during the NEXT change out month.

Image Replacement Policy
It is the club's policy to not replace an existing image. If a member requests that an image be deleted, the website volunteer coordinator upon request, will delete the image.
If an image published on the club website does not meet Community Standards, the Skagit Valley Camera Club reserves the right at the direction of the sitting President or Vice President to remove a member's image from any website gallery.

Gallery Image Submission Guidelines

  1. SVCC members must be current with their yearly dues.
  2. Images will be changed out every other month. Banner Photos will be changed in Jan. & July.
  3. Each member may submit up to 3 images per change out cycle.
  4. Image Format: JPG (sometimes referred to as JPEG).
    Please do NOT submit Photoshop PSD, TIF, BMP, GIF, PNG or any other file format.
  5. Image Mode: RGB (red green blue) or Gray scale (black & white).
    (Please do not submit images in CMYK mode.)
  6. Resolution: 72 ppi (pixels per inch)
  7. Maximum length in the longest dimension: Member Gallery Photos: 1200 pixels.  Banner Photos only: 1800 pixels and please crop Banner Photos (see #8 below).
  8. Cropping/Aspect Ratio: Member Gallery Photos - Crop to your preference. Banner Photos - Crop to 1:3 aspect ratio (600 pixels x 1800 pixels) or 1:4 aspect ratio (450 pixels x 1800 pixels).
  9. Image Naming Convention
    Please name your images using the name of the image you want to see displayed under your image in the online gallery. Please separate distinct words in the image name with a space as shown in the examples below. Please use upper case letters where appropriate.
    We do not correct grammar or spelling.

    Sunrise.jpg
    Mount Baker Morning.jpg
    * Please do NOT include hyphens or underscores as word separators.
    * Please be sure the file extension .JPG or .jpg is at the end of the file name as shown above.
  10. E-mail Subject Line Naming Convention
    Please put your first and last name in the E-mail subject line.
